Senior Pastor of Destiny Church Waldorf, MD, called and ordained to teach the Word, equip the saints, and shepherd a hybrid church family.

Pastor Gary Walsh Jr., Senior Pastor
Pastor Gary Walsh Jr. is a native of San Francisco, California. He answered the call to ministry in 1988, was licensed to preach in 1989, and was ordained in 2007 at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church.
In 2015, the leadership of Destiny Church was passed to Pastor Gary by founding pastor Rev. Dr. Emil M. Thomas, who planted the church in 2004. Pastor G has carried forward a ministry committed to Healing, Hope, and Harmony, with sound, practical teaching that meets real life.
He leads Transformation Tuesday Bible Study each week and shepherds the Destiny family alongside his wife Valencia and their children Chancellor, Chaise, and Anjanique.

Destiny Church was founded in 2004 by Rev. Dr. Emil M. Thomas as a Spirit-filled, Bible-based, non-denominational fellowship in Waldorf, Maryland. In 2015, the leadership was passed to Pastor Gary Walsh Jr.
We teach, preach, and practice the Word of God in a way that meets the real issues people face every day. Whether you are new to faith, returning to church, or simply looking for a place to grow, you are seen, loved, and welcomed here.
